Well I did it. I decided to start a blog as way to share the millions of reasons why I love health and fitness and why it is so important. Not only that, but I am also passionate about writing, so why not combine the two.

My passion for fitness came about ever since I could remember, but only recently did I decide to commit more time to what I love. I have always been a gym go-er but only recently became interested in organized running events, which has since then led me to race a couple of half marathons and many shorter runs. Through running, I find my sense of self and my “me” time. I strongly believe that lifting weights is key for women who would like to lose weight or achieve the body that they oh so desire. Not only that, but clean eating is absolutely essential. I am quite the preacher of the rule: fitness is 80% diet and 20% exercise. I have learned the hard way, that going to the gym every single day, but not having the proper nutrition only leads to no where and had me going in circles. As soon as I learned how I should be nourishing my body, my physic drastically changed for the better.

No one is perfect, and this blog and lifestyle are not about perfection, but rather progress and the journey that I’ve been on. I’m sure you have heard this before, but this is not a diet. There is no magic pill, shake or short-term engagement that can get and keep you healthy. This is a long-term lifestyle which I am hoping more people will understand and engage in.

I am currently a full-time corporate working gal in the beautiful city of San Francisco. I so excited to be taking classes to get my personal training certification and have family and friends who are so important to me, yet still have time to dedicate each day to fitness. Well, I may not have the time, but I make the time. I love this lifestyle and hope you enjoy it as much as I do.  Thank you so much for following along!!

  5. I like the 80-20 rule you mentioned. I have been told diet is as important, if not more as the exercising part. I struggle more with the food part at times than exercising. I am working on it slowly.

  7. Just joined RW and love the forum.. I’m not intended FB etc and was reluctant to blog or join any type of forum. But I to am in to fitness and most recently running. I started blogging as a means to get through all my opetations .
